What is wrong with govt health care such as medicare and va health insurance?

these 2 programs work very well -the one problem with medicare is that some of the company's and others that provide services and products have been milking it for all its worth causing the medicare fund to be in jeopardy at some future date ,having said that every american should have health care and something on the lines of medicare may work.its a shame that all the red herrings that are being thrown out there is having an effect ,things such as death panels(which grley and other reps voted for on the medicare plan) and many others that have been out there.so my hope is that we can agree on some plan . but another big item is that insurance companys need regulations such as no dropping for existing conditions , portability , and being able to sue your HMO would be great.
