Bo Pelini vs Ohio State?

With all the stories about Pelini doing double-duty as LSU def coordinator and Nebraska head coach, why do none of them mention that he's going against his alma mater? He played for OSU from 87-90. Not a big deal to me, just seems odd to omit if you're going to talk about him. They talked about it non-stop with Urban Meyer last year and he didn't even play at OSU (got his master's there).
