Is the winnie the pooh movie the same as the original book?

It's the same story, but it's not exactly the same. Like any movie adaptation of a book, they take things out and put things in and change the words around a lot. I have a Winnie the Pooh collection of all the stories, and I personally prefer the book, it's funnier and has more songs and poems in it.
