6 month old is so congested and noone has same answer?

Vicks on feet, no vicks on feet, cool air humidifier, warm air. My baby's sick with a bad azz cold, he has no fever and Dr said let it run its course. Sorry, Not good enough for me. He is congested, nose is dripping like a faucet, he has this dry cough and I know he is sore from all the coughing. So PLEASE...what do I do? yes I know, Go to another Dr. well it's midnight and i just got him back to sleep, what can I do at home, now, to make him feel better?
