Y do so many people claim "hip-hop is dead?"?

i totally disagree. 1st off, some people dont realize theres a difference BETWEEN "hip-hop" and "rap". just because 'gangsta' rap is whats hot and played on radio's, doesn't mean hip-hop is dead........what about common, kanye, lupe, and mos def....they're tru hip-hop,(holdin it down).....while wayne, 50, t-pain, and plies do (gangsta)rap.....they're in 2 seperate categories....so stop sweatin' 'em. WHAT DO YALL THINK...........
